Job Title: Data Scientist – Real-World Evidence
Location: Remote (UK)
Employment Type: Full-time
I’m currently recruiting on behalf of a rapidly growing healthcare analytics company that is redefining how real-world evidence (RWE) is generated and applied. Leveraging high-quality, deidentified U.S. health data, they deliver impactful insights that support clinical research, enhance treatment decisions, and ultimately improve patient outcomes. Their work sits at the crossroads of data science, healthcare, and innovation.
They are now seeking a Data Scientist with a strong interest in healthcare data and a desire to contribute to meaningful analytics with real-world impact. This is a remote role open to candidates based anywhere in the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze deidentified U.S. healthcare data, including clinical report forms and survey data collected via electronic data capture (EDC) systems.
Design and conduct RWE studies such as cohort analyses and treatment effectiveness evaluations using R and RStudio.
Develop statistical summaries, visualizations, and reports to communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with U.S. healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, with a focus on data privacy and integrity.
Collaborate with global, cross-functional teams to share insights and refine methodologies.
Help advance internal data analysis processes by identifying and implementing best practices.
Required Qualifications:
2+ years of experience working with healthcare datasets (e.g., claims, EHR, clinical trial data), preferably U.S.-based sources.
Degree (BSc, MSc, or higher) in Data Science, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, or a related field.
Proficiency in R for statistical analysis (experience with RStudio preferred).
Familiarity with EDC systems and healthcare data formats.
Strong communication skills and the ability to present complex analyses in a clear and actionable manner.
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and data anonymization techniques.
Experience using SQL or additional tools such as Python or SAS.
Background in producing RWE deliverables or contributing to peer-reviewed studies.
What They Offer:
A fully remote position based in the UK within a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
The opportunity to work on meaningful healthcare research projects with real-world impact.
A culture driven by data, innovation, and purpose.
Ongoing professional development in a role that blends analytics with real-world healthcare challenges.
