Manufacturing Buyer – West Yorkshire – Medical Device

About the Company:

We are looking for an experienced procurement professional from the manufacturing industry to join an established medical device company in West Yorkshire. You will drive efficiency, cost savings and supplier performance.

Responsibilities:

• Lead MRP operations to ensure smooth production flow and material availability.
• Negotiate best-value contracts while maintaining quality and delivery standards.
• Manage supplier relationships — from sourcing and onboarding to performance reviews.
• Oversee RFQs, supplier proposals, and contract management with sound commercial judgment.
• Monitor market trends to support strategic purchasing decisions.
• Maintain efficient Purchase Order, stock control, and invoice processes.
• Support continuous improvement through supplier innovation and cost reduction initiatives.

Requirements:

• Experience in manufacturing purchasing.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with MRP/ERP systems.
• Good attention to detail.
