Sterilisation Specialist – UK – Medical Device
About the Company:
We are looking for a microbiologist with excellent experience in sterilisation to join an established medical device company. Depending on experience levels, this role can be site based, hybrid or remote; however, there is a preference for some site presence.
Responsibilities:
- Lead sterilisation validation (EtO, gamma, moist/dry heat) and cleaning processes in line with ISO standards.
- Support cleanroom qualification, environmental monitoring, and GMP compliance.
- Prepare validation protocols, technical files, and audit-ready documentation.
- Partner with R&D, Quality, Regulatory, and Manufacturing teams to deliver safe, compliant products.
Requirements:
- Degree in Microbiology, Biomedical Science, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, or similar.
- Experience in sterilisation, cleaning validation, or microbiology (medical devices preferred).
- Knowledge of ISO 11135, 11137, 17665, 11737, 14644, 14971, and ISO 13485.
- Strong analytical, technical writing, and problem-solving skills.
