Location: Northeast US (Remote)

Position Overview:

Our client is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Account Manager to join their expanding team. The Account Manager will be responsible for managing and growing sales accounts within the Northeast region of the United States. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in life sciences sales, with a deep understanding of NGS technologies and applications. This role offers an exciting opportunity to drive revenue growth, build relationships with key customers, and contribute to expanding their market presence in the Northeast US.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic account plans to achieve sales targets and revenue goals within the assigned territory.
  • Identify and cultivate new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and relationship-building activities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including researchers, lab directors, and purchasing managers, at academic institutions, biotech companies, pharmaceutical firms, and clinical laboratories.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, technical support, and customer service, to ensure customer satisfaction and support ongoing sales efforts.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to inform sales strategies and tactics.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations, product demonstrations, and proposals to customers, highlighting the unique value proposition of the clients NGS solutions.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and territory reports to management regularly.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in life sciences, biology, biochemistry, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience in sales or business development within the life sciences industry, focusing on genomic technologies.
  • A track record of success in achieving and exceeding sales targets and growing revenue in a competitive market environment.
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences, including scientists, researchers, and senior executives.
  • Negotiation, presentation, and closing skills, with a consultative sales approach.
  • Proactive, and results-oriented with a strong drive to succeed.
