Job Description:

Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Product Management to join their team on their California site. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the strategic direction, development, and lifecycle management of our genomics instruments and reagents portfolio. As a key leader within our organization, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive product innovation, market expansion, and revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Product Strategy: Develop and execute product strategies aligned with company goals, market trends, and customer needs. Define product roadmaps and prioritize feature enhancements and new product developments.
• Market Analysis: Conduct comprehensive market analysis to identify growth opportunities, competitive landscape, and emerging trends. Utilize market insights to drive product positioning, pricing strategies, and go-to-market plans.
• Product Development: Lead the product development process from concept to commercialization, working closely with engineering, R&D, and manufacturing teams. Ensure products meet quality standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, operations, and customer support, to drive product launches, promotional activities, and sales enablement initiatives.
• Customer Engagement: Engage with key customers and opinion leaders to gather feedback, understand user requirements, and validate product concepts. Build strong customer relationships and advocate for customer-centric product enhancements.
• Performance Tracking: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product performance, market penetration, and revenue growth. Monitor and analyze product metrics to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
• Team Leadership: Provide leadership and mentorship to the product management team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence. Set clear goals and expectations and empower team members to achieve their full potential.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, Business, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• Experience in product management within the life sciences or biotechnology industry, with a focus on genomics products.
• Proven track record of successfully launching and managing complex products throughout the product lifecycle.
• Strong understanding of genomics technologies, market dynamics, and customer requirements.
• Excellent strategic planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across functions and levels of the organization.
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and drive results in a rapidly evolving market.
