Sales Specialist - Spatial Biology

Location: Boston, MA and Connecticut Territory

Position Summary:

Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Specialist to join their team and cover the Boston and Connecticut territory. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in biology or a related life science discipline, along with a proven track record in technical and scientific capital sales. This role is essential for driving growth by developing and maintaining relationships with key academic, pharmaceutical, and biotech laboratories.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve and exceed sales targets within the assigned territory.
  • Identify and qualify new business opportunities and manage the sales cycle from lead generation to closing.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in academic, pharmaceutical, and biotech laboratories.
  • Conduct product presentations and demonstrations to showcase the value and capabilities of our clients spatial biology solutions.
  • Provide technical and scientific support to customers, addressing their specific needs and challenges.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, customer support, and product development, to ensure customer satisfaction and alignment with company objectives.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to effectively position our products in the market.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and other networking events.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Biology or a related Life Science discipline, or equivalent combination of education, experience, and/or training.
  • Proven track record in Technical, scientific capital sales experience, preferably selling to life science laboratories in the academic, pharmaceutical, and biotech sectors.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex scientific concepts to a diverse audience.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically.
  • Self-motivated and driven, with a high level of initiative and the ability to work independently.
  • Willingness to travel within the assigned territory as needed.
