Senior Product Development Engineer – SE London/ Kent Border – Analytical Sciences

About the Company:

We are looking for a development engineer with substantial experience in FEA and Solidworks (for simulation) to join an expanding and established scientific instrument/ analytical products company on the Southeast London/ Kent border. This role is based in the NPD team and involves researching the application and interfaces of samples and products/ technology.

Responsibilities:

• Designing pressurised sample interfaces.
• Designing pressure systems.
• Creating and updating technical files.
• Defining and executing product validation and verification.
• Leading the design and testing of new products.
• Ensuring existing products are kept updated.
• Communicating design intent to stakeholders within the business.
• Collaboration with other departments.
• Assisting with continuous improvement projects.
• Participation of design reviews and testing.
• Preparing records and reports.
• Ensuing you and other team members abide to safety guidelines.

Requirements:

• Educated to degree level in mechanical engineering or related subject.
• Excellent knowledge and experience of FEM/FEA.
• Experience using Solidworks for simulation.
• Experience working with pressure vessels and/or hydraulic systems.
• Experience developing testing procedures.
• Experience writing reports.
• Flexibility to travel as per business needs.
• Valid driving license.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Excellent organisational skills.
