Sustaining Engineer – North Yorkshire/ Hybrid – Medical Device

 

About the Company:

We are looking for an experienced Engineer to join a specialist medical device company as Sustaining Engineer. This role will primarily focus on supporting the business in North Yorkshire; however, it may also branch out to assist with work from other medical device companies within the group.

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the interface for lifecycle technical support between Quality, Engineering and Operations departments.
  • Manufacturing process development.
  • New product introduction.
  • Equipment selection, design, validation and maintenance.
  • Creation of procedures, protocols, instructions and drawings.
  • Design review.
  • Risk management.
  • Troubleshooting and technical problem resolution.
  • Assisting with customer complaints and investigations.

 Requirements:

  • Degree in Scientific or Engineering discipline or a diploma with significant industry experience.
  • Experience with design verification from a highly regulated industry (healthcare, pharmaceutical, medical device, diagnostics, aerospace, automotive, food, etc).
  • Experience in method validation from highly regulated industry (healthcare, pharmaceutical, medical device, diagnostics, aerospace, automotive, food, etc).
  • Experience with pre-production and post-production transfer.
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis.
  • Knowledge of product development.
  • Knowledge of regulatory legislation and standards would be beneficial.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience managing projects.
  • Experience in technical writing and/or compiling reports.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
