Role Overview:

Our client is seeking a talented and experienced Technical Writing Manager to join their dynamic team in California. As the Technical Writing Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of technical writers and content creators to produce high-quality documentation and marketing content that effectively communicates the features, benefits, and applications of our client's products and solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of technical writers and content creators, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure the delivery of high-quality documentation and marketing content.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, marketing, and R&D, to gather technical information and insights to develop comprehensive and accurate product documentation.
  • Develop and implement content strategies and standards to ensure consistency, clarity, and accuracy across all technical documentation and marketing materials.
  • Manage the creation and maintenance of technical documentation, including user manuals, application notes, product specifications, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Oversee the development of marketing content, including website content, product brochures, case studies, and white papers, to support product launches and promotional campaigns.
  • Drive the adoption of best practices and tools for content creation, management, and distribution, including content management systems (CMS), authoring tools, and version control systems.
  • Ensure that all documentation and marketing materials comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and guidelines.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance metrics, such as content engagement, user feedback, and customer satisfaction, to optimize content effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in technical communications, marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in technical communications, content creation, or related roles, preferably in the life sciences or biotechnology industry.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with a track record of successfully leading teams and driving results in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical information into clear, concise, and engaging content.
  • Proficiency in content management systems (CMS), authoring tools, and other relevant software applications.
  • Knowledge of genomics, molecular biology, or related fields is a plus.
