Territory Manager – Mid-Atlantic

Kinetica has partnered with a leading manufacturer of genomics instruments and high-quality reagents, dedicated to empowering researchers and laboratories worldwide with innovative solutions for genomics research and molecular diagnostics. With a commitment to excellence and a passion for advancing scientific discovery, we seek a highly motivated and dynamic Territory Manager to join our team and drive sales growth in the DC, MD, and WV regions.

Position Overview:

As the Territory Manager for the DC, MD, and WV regions, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sales plans to drive revenue and market share for our clients' genomics instruments and reagents. Leveraging your expertise in genomics and your strong sales acumen, you will build and maintain relationships with key customers, identify new business opportunities, and drive product adoption within the territory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue targets and exceed sales goals within the assigned territory.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, including academic institutions, research laboratories, biotechnology companies, and pharmaceutical organizations.
  • Identify and prioritize sales opportunities, proactively prospect for new business, and strategically manage the sales pipeline to drive growth and maximize market penetration.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, including marketing, technical support, and customer service, to ensure alignment of sales initiatives and customer needs.
  • Conduct product demonstrations, presentations, and technical discussions to showcase the value proposition of our clients's genomics instruments and reagents.
  • Provide ongoing support and training to customers, including troubleshooting assistance, product training, and application support.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to identify new market opportunities and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in life sciences, biochemistry, molecular biology, or related field; advanced degree (MS or PhD) preferred.
  • Must have experience in sales roles within the life sciences or biotechnology industry, with a proven track record of success in achieving or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong technical knowledge and understanding of genomics instruments, reagents, and related applications; experience with next-generation sequencing (NGS) technologies is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to articulate complex scientific concepts clearly and compellingly.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including researchers, laboratory managers, procurement professionals, and executive-level decision-makers.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.

  • Washington, D.C., Maryland, or West Virginia (Remote with frequent travel within the territory)
