Kinetica are partnered with a Food Contract Manufacturer in Los Angeles, CA. Our client is looking to bring on a VP Protein Buyer to develop and execute strategic plans for protein specific sourcing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop the strategic plans for protein sourcing.
- Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with vendors to optimize cost efficiency.
- Analyze and assess supplier performance
- Enhance overall profitability in protein procurement.
- Develop and implement KPI's
- Evaluate and assess market conditions adjusting strategies to capitalize on opportunities.
- Stay abreast of market trends, industry developments, and regulatory changes.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management (or related fields)
- Experienced Buying/Sourcing Protein Ingredients and Products
- Knowledge of Quality & Regulations related to protein procurement
