Product Manager– Deeside/ Northwest UK – Diagnostics

 

About the Company:

We are looking for a microbiologist with experience in a commercial/ client facing role to join the sales and marketing team at an expanding diagnostics company at their site in the Northwest. This well-established company has a comprehensive benefits package and offers excellent career progression potential.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing all product activities and ensuring documentation, collateral, website content, sales materials, and pricing models are up-to-date and distributed accordingly.
  • Contributing to complaints, CAPAs, product development, and regulatory processes as needed.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to launch new products to market on schedule.
  • Ensuring new products are launched with appropriate project management and positioning against competitors.
  • Identifying market opportunities for new microbiology products and existing product improvements.
  • Working closely with the Business Development Manager to capitalize on emerging technologies and innovations.
  • Leading product management and marketing activities.
  • Updating product literature and rolling out compliant products to market. Emphasizing market surveillance and customer feedback.
  • Managing specific product portfolio content and performance on the company website.
  • Coordinating with other departments and international offices to ensure consistent website performance and standards.
  • Ensuring all marketing and exhibition materials adhere to agreed style guides.
  • Managing production costs and stock updates of marketing materials efficiently.
  • Collaborating with the team to increase sales and profitability of the product range.
  • Managing product inquiries, technical support, and product information updates.
  • Developing a strong technical understanding of products and their applications.
  • Providing support materials for promotional campaigns for both new and existing products.
  • Liaising with sales teams, subsidiaries, and distributors as necessary.
  • Providing active sales and technical support for customers, sales teams, subsidiaries, and distributors.
  • Providing technical and marketing literature adhering to Corporate Branding guidelines.
  • Assisting with booking and arrangements for exhibitions and seminars.
  • Preparing and issuing UK and International price lists.
  • Collaborating on rapid and effective product recalls when necessary.

 

Requirements:

  • Degree in Biomedical Science, Microbiology or closely related Biological Science.
  • Experience working in a client facing environment.
  • Experience working in a commercial role within a related environment.
  • Technical writing experience.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Strong presentation skills.
